|Additional information||Sirolimus is an immunosuppresant drug used to prevent organ graft rejection. Therapeutic drug monitoring is used to optimize dose.
This method yields results approximately 20% higher than the Abbott IMx immunoassay due to improved extraction and recovery of sirolimus from whole blood samples. Information regarding cross reactivity of this assay with metabolites and other drugs can be found in the link to the Lab Procedure.
