Collection Instructions Collect respiratory specimen within 7-10 days of symptom onset.
10-50 mL urine should be collected within 10 days of rash onset. First part of urine
stream is preferable.

Sample type Amniotic fluid, nasal wash, random urine, NPS or throat swab in UTM
Preferred volume ≥ 20 mL fluid
Processing notes Urine: Centrifuge at 500-600 g for 5-10 min. at 4C. Resuspend the pellet in 2-3 mL
of UTM. Store and ship at -70C.
