| Collection Instructions | Samples should be taken during bouts of fever as spirochetes are most likely to be present. Call Microbiology (x3-1268) and inform the staff of the need to look for the spirochetes of B. duttoni or B. recurrentis. Request test on the Microbiology requisition. |
