Normal range for adults: low end of 6.0 determined by testing 271 normal male and female UCSF blood donors and referenced by Beckman as the low end of adult recumbent patients. High end of 8.1 adapted from Beckman Synchron's ambulatory upper limit. Adult range used for children 10-18 years old. Adult range comparable to Beckman's range for age group 10-19 years (Bulletin 9345). |
