| Collection Instructions | Call laboratory (x3-1268) prior to submitting specimens for culture so that reagents can be prepared ahead. Deliver the specimens directly to the laboratory within 30 minutes of collection during the hours the test is offered. Prior authorization is required for culture of Brown and Toland patients. Friday samples must be received before 1230 hours |

Contact the laboratory (x3-1268) for instructions about specimen collection; a portion of any tissue samples should also be submitted to Pathology. |
