Collection Instructions Both CSF and serum samples required, preferably collected at the same time. CSF specimen label must contain the date the sample was collected and the legible name of the person who collected the sample.

Reference range data applies only to lumbar CSF. Contamination of CSF with blood due to a traumatic LP can significantly elevate the IgG index.
