| Additional information | (Index = (CSF IgG/Albumin)/ (serum IgG/Albumin) Reference range data applies only to lumbar CSF. A bloody contamination of CSF due to a traumatic LP can significantly elevate the IgG index. CSF IgG, albumin and index reference ranges from:Tietz Textbook of Clinical Chemistry; 3rd ed., 1999, and Fishman, R.A., Cerebrospinal Fluid in Diseases of the Nervous System; 2nd ed., 1992.
