| Additional information | Blood donors should be directed to the Blood Donor. Center, Milberry Union, "I" Level, MU-09 on I level (see Center hours of operation in front of Laboratory Manual. Donors are grouped and typed for free as part of processing the donation; they may pay [cash] for grouping and typing alone (typing for curiosity or for possible blood donation is not chargeable to a patient or to a donor's insurance carrier). When and if following bone marrow or liver transplantation there is disagreement between the results of ABO or Rh results based on testing of RBCs ("forward" testing) and results based on testing of plasma ("reverse" testing), the discrepancy will be reported. |
