Click here for form together with a routine laboratory requisition requesting this test. Collect buccal swab as soon as possible but not later than 9 days of onset of parotitis. Swab the inner surface of cheek with swab and place swab in viral holding medium. Swab and viral holding medium is available from Microbiology. |
