|Collection Instructions||Collect Monday-Friday only. Samples collected on Friday MUST be received in the lab by 12:00 noon.
Keep specimen at room temperature and deliver to the laboratory asap.

|Processing notes||Alert China Basin Sendout (3-1349) that specimens are sent and expected time of arrival. Ship at ROOM TEMPERATURE. Specimens must be received at China Basin Sendouts by 1530 hours for courier pickup at 1600 hours.
Specimens must be received at Reference Laboratory (Quest or LabCorp) within 48 hours of collection to be stabilized for later testing.

|Additional information||Platelet Glycoprotein Antibody is associated with autoimmune thrombocytopenia purpura (AITP) and sometimes observed in patients with lymphoma, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and HIV infection.|
