| Additional information | Cross-reactions between B. henselae (H-1), the causative agent of Cat Scratch Disease, and B. quintana, the organism causing Trench Fever, are extensive. These organisms may also be responsible for c. 20% of the small number of cases of culture-negative endocarditis. Positive results will automatically be titered by Quest at an additional charge. Testing available only on a limited basis. CSF is NOT tested. |
