Renal Pathology & Electron Microscopy Service
Overview
The renal pathology division offers state of the art interpretation of native and transplant kidney biopsies. Our mission is to provide the best possible renal biopsy service working in close collaboration with nephrologists and transplant surgeons. The laboratory serves patients not only from the University of California San Francisco, but also from several other medical centers in the San Francisco Bay area and throughout the United States. Expert readings of the biopsies are performed by three renal pathologists, Drs. Olson, Laszik, and Yen, with a combined 50 plus years experience in renal pathology. For more information on how to submit kidney biopsies for interpretation or ask for a consultation please see Overview pdf.
