Cytopath Fellowship 2015 - Summa Health System

Cytopathology Fellowship Available 2014-2015

The Summa Health System Department of Pathology has an unexpected opening for a
one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in cytopathology The fellow is expected to
participate in the cytology service, teaching, and clinical research activities
. The fellowship program is designed to provide advanced training in the
interpretation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens and fine needle
aspiration biopsies in community as well as tertiary care settings. The fellow
will be involved in EBUS and EUS cases. The fellow selected for this position
will participate in fine needle aspirations, multidisciplinary conferences, and
teaching of residents, medical students and other health professionals. There
will be dedicated time available for scientific research for publication and an
elective rotation.

Requirements

Residents who have completed their training in an ACGME-accredited Program in
either a three-year AP or four-year AP/CP Program by the Fellowship by July 1
or a fellow who has passed the American Board of Pathology in AP or AP/CP
before starting the fellowship in Cytopathology. Candidates must be eligible
for a Ohio Medical License or Training Certificate
