Hemepath Fellowship 2014 - Yale New Haven Hospital

Yale New Haven Hospital / Yale School of Medicine has an unexpected opening for
a Hematopathology Fellow starting July 1, 2014. For inquiries, please email

This is a one year ACGME accredited fellowship in hematopathology. The fellow
receives comprehensive training in all aspects of diagnostic hematology
including: morphologic interpretation of blood, marrow and lymph nodes; flow
cytometry; cytogenetics; molecular diagnostics including quantitative
amplification, FISH, and in situ hybridization; immunohistochemistry;
evaluation of hemoglobinopathies; and state of the art genomic and proteomic
evaluation of disorders of thrombosis/hemostasis. The fellow is an integral
part of a multidisciplinary patient care team in an NCI designated
Comprehensive Cancer Center with extensive pediatric and adult patient
populations and active stem cell transplantation service. Physician-scientist
track research opportunities extending investigative training beyond the
clinical year are also available through a specific NIH institutional research
training program in immunohematology. Candidates should be Board eligible in
AP/CP, AP-only, or CP-only.
