Cytopath Fellowship 2015 - UC Davis

Cytopathology Fellowship Position 2015-2016

This is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship program in diagnostic
cytopathology at UC Davis. The program is designed to provide comprehensive
training in diagnostic cytopathology including fine-needle aspiration biopsy
with surgical pathology and clinical correlation. The fellow will be exposed to
a wide spectrum of gynecological and non-gynecological materials including
performance and interpretation of fine-needle aspiration biopsies. In addition
to cytopathology responsibilities, the fellow will have an elective rotation
and designated time to complete a research project. Rotation in the molecular
diagnostic laboratory is encouraged. The fellow will be responsible for weekly
cytology conferences. Candidate must be board-eligible or certified in Anatomic
Pathology at the time s/he begins the fellowship program.

personal statement, letter of interest or intent, and three (3) letters of
recommendation (one must be from your Residency Program Director and addressed
to Alaa Afify, M.D., Director, Cytopathology Fellowship).
