Cytopath Fellowship 2014 - U. of Florida
The Department of Pathology at The University of Florida College of
Medicine-Jacksonville has an unexpected cytopathology fellowship position
available for a PGY 5 level fellow beginning July 1, 2014. To qualify for this
position a person must have completed four years of Pathology training in an
ACGME accredited institution, as well as passed USMLE Step III and eligible to
sit for the Pathology boards.
The fellows evaluate and participate in the sign-out of all abnormal
gynecologic preparations, as well as all non-gynecologic preparations.
Training is provided in the performance, preparation and evaluation of fine
needle aspiration biopsies. Immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, image
analysis, and molecular studies are utilized for analysis of cytologic
material. We are committed to excellence and producing graduates capable of
entry into academic or private practice.
The city of Jacksonville has a population approaching 1,000,000 and offers a
