Dermpath Fellowship - UAB
Accepting applications in Dermatopathology for July 2010 ... please note below: Program(s): This one-year Dermatopathology fellowship is sponsored jointly by the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. It is designed to provide intensive training in Dermatopathology for Board-certified/eligible graduates of Pathology and Dermatology programs. Experience in the techniques of imunohistochemistry, immunoflouresence, and molecular techniques as it pertains to Dermatopathology will be provided, as well as appropriate training in pathology for those with a dermatology background and in dermatology for pathology graduates. The fellow will be expected to identify areas of interest in the specialty and pursue them through a clinical/basic research project. The fellowship program director is Aleodor Andea, MD. Two Dermatopathology funded fellowship positions are available each year. Requirements: Candidates must be Board-certified or eligible for certification in Anatomic Pathology, AP/CP or Dermatology. Stipends: Salary levels are commensurate with the level of postgraduate training.
