Hematopathology Fellowship - Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center invites applications for a one-year ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Hematopathology, starting July 1, 2010. Trainees will be provided broad exposure to all aspects of the laboratory evaluation of benign and malignant hematolymphoid disorders including automated laboratory testing, coagulation, morphology, immunophenotyping, molecular and cytogenetic methods. In addition, the Fellow will participate in research and teaching activities with mentoring from the faculty. The successful Fellow will achieve a solid base of competencies to pursue a career in an academic or private practice. The PSMSHMC is a 504-bed tertiary care facility associated with the Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Penn State Children's Hospital and Penn State College of Medicine, that provides abundant clinical and research material in the areas of adult and pediatric hematolymphoid diseases including an active bone marrow transplantation program. The Hematopathology service also provides consultative services to extramural Pathologists and Oncologists.
