Located at 505 Parnassus Ave, this is the site of the main University Hospital. The 15-story hospital has 600 beds composed of two adjoining buildings, Moffitt and Long Hospitals, and includes our 180 bed UCSF Children’s Hospital. Overall, the hospitals and clinics cover nearly 6 city blocks.
Located on Berry St (approximately 6 miles from the Parnassus Campus), this site includes a subset of the medical center’s laboratory testing and radiology services.
The Departments of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCSF Medical Center each year process approximately 25,000 surgical specimens; 30,000 cytology samples; and 60,000 dermatopathology cases; and perform over 4.7 million tests on blood and other body fluids using a combination of robotics and manual laboratories.
