Located at 505 Parnassus Avenue, this is the site of the main University Hospital. The 15-story hospital has 600 beds composed of two adjoining buildings, Moffitt and Long Hospitals. Overall, the hospitals and clinics cover nearly 6 city blocks.
UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, located at 1855 4th Street, is an innovative 289-bed complex features three separate hospitals, specializing in serving children, women, and cancer patients. It is UCSF's newest state-of-the-art hospital complex.
Located on Berry Street (approximately 6 miles from the Parnassus Campus), this site includes a subset of the medical center’s laboratory testing and radiology services.
The Departments of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCSF Medical Center each year process approximately 25,000 surgical specimens; 30,000 cytology samples; and 60,000 dermatopathology cases; and perform over 4.7 million tests on blood and other body fluids using a combination of robotics and manual laboratories.
